About Laura

Physiotherapist, Laura Franklin

Bachelor of Physiotherapy, APAM
14 years of experience
Clinical Pilates Instructor
Fitness Instructor

I am a highly qualified and passionate Physiotherapist with over 14 years experience.

I have spent many years working in private practice in a variety of different musculoskeletal settings treating people of all ages and abilities.

I mentor both qualified and student physiotherapists.

To ensure I provide quality care and treatment to my patients, I actively participate in additional professional development courses to stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practice. I have also completed an Animal Physiotherapy course, but I prefer the human kind!

I believe the continuity of care is of utmost importance to manage, resolve and prevent your condition to ensure you reach your goals.

I am passionate about what I do and I enjoy seeing the progress made from when you first come to see me until you are pain free. Being able to stand tall and strong for life.

I have always believed that you will have better outcomes if you understand what is happening and how to manage your injuries. This is why I explain and involve you in each phase of your recovery.

Further to my physiotherapy experience, I have managed local, elite and amateur level sporting groups. These have been from local football clubs, TAC cup footballers, Gymnastics, Netball, Basketball, Equestrian, Tennis and Golf.

I am a wife and mother to three children (including twins). I love sports and the outdoors, animals (big and small), coffee and when I can get in the kitchen (with time on my side) I do like to cook up something delicious. I was previously a Basketballer, Netballer and Horse rider. Growing up loving my sports and the outdoors is what helped me become a Physiotherapist where I get to help others make the most out of life.

Do I need a referal?

Physiotherapists are first contact practitioners therefore you don’t need a doctor’s referral to see one.

However quite often your doctor may refer you to a Physiotherapist for treatment.

Can I claim Private Health?

Yes! I provide a Hicaps machine on site for instant private health rebates.

Are you COVID Safe?
